Here is another commemorative coin dedicated to a female figure, this time it is for a notable Finnish writer, painter, and illustrator, Tove Marika Jansson. The coin was issued on 16/06/2014 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of her birth, which occurred on 9/08/1914.

Her mother was an illustrator and her father a sculptor, and she is also known for being the mother of the characters from the Moomin series, children's books that have been translated into over thirty languages and originated in 1946.

On the Obverse, in the brass part, the inscription D DAY is stylized to represent a tank and simultaneously the landing.

Now let's talk about a coin that commemorates a historically significant event for mankind. In particular, this €2 commemorative coin from the Vatican was minted to mark the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
