2 Euro Commemorative Slovakia 2014 Accession European Union — Slovakia €2 commemorative 2014 10 Years Accession to the European Union — coin obverse

The next coin is extremely important for Slovakia and is the sixth commemorative coin minted. This 2 Euro Commemorative coin was indeed minted in 2014 in honor of the 10th Anniversary of the Slovak Republic's accession to the EU.

On the Obverse, the stylized inscription “EU” is engraved with the coat of arms of the Slovak Republic in the foreground. To the right is the date “1.5.2004”, which is the date of Slovakia's accession, and the year “2014”. Arched at the bottom is the inscription “SLOVENSKO” and to the left is the symbol of the Kremnica Mint “MK” (Mincovňa Kremnica).

Arched at the top is the inscription “10 VÝROČIE VSTUPUDO EURÓPSKEJ UNIE” while the initials of the author are engraved to the right.
All around the coin are the 12 five-pointed stars present on all coins that indicate the European states.
