Slovakia €2 Corriere a Cavallo Vienna Bratislava 2023 — Value and Rarity

On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Vienna/Bratislava diligence, the 2 Euro Slovakia coins have been minted dedicated to the 200 years since the start of the “Express Horse Courier service on the route Vienna / Bratislava“. Coin issued on 11/10/2023.

On the Obverse of the coin, there is a stylized depiction of a carriage in motion going from right to left, the carriage, with the Express Post logo in the center, is pulled by two galloping horses and driven by a courier in period clothing. At the top of the coin, there is the inscription SLOVENSKO, while at the bottom, there is the inscription VIEDEŇ BRATISLAVA placed between the dates 1823 and 2023. On the side of the carriage to the right, there is the symbol of the Kremnica Mint MK (Mincovňa Kremnica) and the initials MP of the author Maria Poldaufova.

In the circle around, there are the 12 stars of the European symbol.
