On the Obverse, the number 100 appears in three different fonts and sizes, with the second zero transforming into a stylized sun. Inside the first zero, the initials KMI and IRM are inscribed on two lines. KMI stands for Königliches Meteorologisches Institut and IRM stands for Institut Royal Météorologique.
In the background on the left, the meteorological lines isobars are depicted, below them the stylization of rain and snow.

The face on the Obverse of these 2 euros from Finland features in the center the date 1863 written in an ornamental font with the 6 transforming from seed to sprout. Then a semicircular inscription S U O M I F I N L A N D 2013 with the symbol of the Helsinki Mint, the heraldic lion inside the circle, placed between Suomi and Finland.

All around are evenly distributed the 12 stars of the European Union.

In 2013, for the 150th Anniversary of the birth of Baron Pierre de Coubertin, founder of the Olympic Games, as well as a historian and educator, a coin was minted in his honor.
In the center of the coin, on the Obverse, the portrait of the sports leader with his characteristic French mustache from the late 1800s is depicted, with four athletes and the Olympic rings behind him. In 2013, Germany also issued a commemorative coin for the Treaties of Elysée to mark the 50th Anniversary of its signing. The designers are Stefani Lindner, Alina Hoyer, Yves Sampo, and Sneschana Russewa-Hoyer, with the signature located under the portrait of De Gaulle. The issuance date is 22/01/2013.

We move again to a coin that, in this case, marks an important event for the country in question. We are indeed talking about the €2 Commemorative coin minted in 2013 to celebrate the 200 years of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

On the Obverse, we can observe a magnificent representation featuring the faces of all seven kings of the Netherlands who ascended to the throne over these 200 years, united by a ribbon.

To celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the construction of the Torre dos Clérigos, a commemorative coin was issued in 2013 featuring the Tower prominently. It was issued on 20/06/2013.

On the Obverse, the Torre dos Clérigos is clearly visible from a low perspective, positioned on the left, while on the right, the Ponte Dom Luis is seen, an arch bridge spanning the Douro river, connecting Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia.

We arrive at another coin that commemorates a historical figure. In particular, this €2 commemorative coin from San Marino was minted in 2013 in honor of the 500th anniversary of the death of Pinturicchio, a renowned Italian painter.

On the Obverse, we can notice a detail from one of his paintings titled “Dispute of Jesus with the Doctors”. The author is Claudia Momoni.

The Dispute of Jesus with the Doctors of the Temple is a fresco from 1500/1501 by Pinturicchio (Bernardino di Betto) from which the detail featured on the €2 coin of 2013 was taken. The fresco is located in the Baglioni Chapel of the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Maggiore in Spello (Perugia).

Fifth commemorative: We move on to a coin of incredible historical and religious importance. In particular, this 2 Euro Commemorative coin from Slovakia was minted in 2013 to commemorate the 1150th Anniversary of the mission of Constantine and Methodius in Great Moravia which took place in 863 AD.

On the Obverse, the coin features the representation of Methodius and Constantine holding a double cross and the gospel. Above this design, the inscription “KONŠTANTÍN METOD” is arched, while below it reads “SLOVENSKO ● 863 ● 2013”.

Here we are in 2013 with a new commemorative bimetallic coin. The coin in question was minted in 2013 in honor of the Monastery of San Lorenzo del Escorial, which was commissioned by Philip II as a residence and pantheon for the King of Spain. In 1984, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Issued on 1/03/2013.

On the Obverse, we can see the representation of the Monastery, while at the top there is the arch inscription ESPAÑA. Moving down to the right, we can also find the year of minting and the crowned M, the symbol of the Madrid Mint. Surrounding it, as usual, are the 12 five-pointed stars, arranged in a circle, representing the European countries.
