Here we have another Belgian €2 commemorative coin minted in 2010 for the Presidency of the European Union. Issued on 10/06/2010.

On the Obverse, at the center of the bimetallic coin within the profile of a circle, the two initials eu of the European Union are engraved in italic font, with the inscription trio.be above the 'u', and below is the mintmark featuring the Archangel Gabriel along with a cross and the feather mark of the Director Serge Lesens.

Surrounding the upper half of the coin is the inscription in uppercase letters BELGIAN PRESIDENCY OF THE COUNCIL OF THE EU 2010, while the lower part reads BELGIE BELGIQUE BELGIEN
The circle formed by the 12 stars on the outer part of the bimetallic coin is the symbol of Europe.

The commemorative coin of 2010 was made for the 150 Years of the Finnish Coin. Indeed, on April 4, 1860, thanks to Tsar Alexander II of Russia, a decree was issued authorizing Finland to issue banknotes and coins of the Markka. Thus, the first Finnish mint was born in Helsinki.

On the Obverse, on the left side, there is a stylized design of the Lion holding a knife, a symbol present in the Finnish Coat of Arms, along with the minting year 2010.
On the moon to the right, a sequence of numbers in varying sizes and partially overlapping or cut (0 1 2 5 1 5 0) can be recognized, representing the unit value of the Finnish coin. The heraldic Lion is also present inscribed in a circle, a new mint symbol.

At the bottom, the issuing country code FI is indicated, and along the outermost edge, the nickel part features the 12 five-pointed stars symbolizing European countries.

Here we are in 2010 with the French €2 commemorative coin dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the appeal by General De Gaulle on June 18.

The Obverse features the depiction of General De Gaulle reading into a microphone the appeal to the French following France's defeat during World War II. This appeal marked the birth of the French Resistance.
The inscription 70 ANS 18 APPEL JUIN is engraved to the right of the general, while the initials RF (République Française) are on the papers between the General and the microphone.
The minting year is engraved at the top of the coin between the mint and the Director's symbols.

The 2010 sees the birth of another German commemorative, one of the most interesting among those dedicated to monuments, which in this case are two, the Bremen City Hall and the Statue of Orlando. Issued on 29/01/2010.

On the Obverse of this 2 euro coin from Germany, in the central brass disc, there is a close-up engraving on the left of the statue dedicated to the protector of the city of Bremen, Orlando with the inscription BREMEN on the right and the initials of Bodo Broschat (engraver) at the bottom under the central pedestal. Behind the statue's shoulders is the majestic Gothic-Renaissance facade of the Bremen City Hall with the symbol of Germany D at the top left.

In the outer ring of these German commemorative two euros, the stars are distributed in a circle as a European symbol. At the bottom, divided in two by the central star, the year 20 10 is engraved, while the Mint mark (A/D/F/G/J) is positioned to the right of the upper central star.

The coin we are going to discuss now has a truly important historical value. Specifically, we are talking about the 2 Euro commemorative coin minted in 2010 in honor of the 500th anniversary of the death of Sandro Botticelli.

On the Obverse, we can see a beautiful representation of a detail from the Three Graces freely inspired by the painting La Primavera by the same Botticelli, preserved at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. On the left, we can see the inscription SAN MARINO followed by the mint mark R, while at the top is the year of minting 2010. On the right is the signature of the author Roberto Mauri.

The Three Graces is a detail from Primavera painted by Sandro Botticelli in 1480, it is a tempera painting measuring 203×314 cm displayed at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
A Renaissance work that shows in this detail one of the three graces, companions of Cupid, dressed in a light veil, with semi-up hair in braids and a central pearl. The grace dances lightly together with the other two under the gaze of Cupid himself.
