Description of the 2 Euro Finnish Currency 2010
The Commemorative coin of 2010 is the one made for the 150 Years of the Finnish Coin. In fact, on April 4, 1860, thanks to Tsar Alexander II of Russia, a decree was issued that authorized Finland to issue banknotes and coins of the Mark. Thus, the first Finnish Mint was born in Helsinki.
Commemorative presented on 15/11/2010.
On the Obverse, on the left side, is engraved the stylized design of the Lion holding a knife, a symbol present in the Finnish Coat of Arms, and the year of minting 2010.
In the moon on the right, a sequence of numbers with characters of different sizes and partially overlapping or cut (0 1 2 5 1 5 0) can be recognized, numbers that represent the unit value of the Finnish coin. The heraldic Lion is also present inscribed in a circle, a new symbol of the Mint.
At the bottom, the issuing country code FI is indicated, and along the outermost edge, the nickel part, the 12 five-pointed stars symbolizing European countries are distributed.
