Description of the 2 Euro Economic and Monetary Union 2009
Also from 2009, precisely from 15/01/2009, a commemorative coin wanted in all Euro Zone countries, dedicated to the 10 Years of Economic and Monetary Union known as EMU.
The Obverse of these 2 euro Finland coins features a stylized prehistoric figure fused with the euro symbol (€) and the signature of the author Georgios Stamatopoulos at the bottom (ΓΣ), with the inscription SUOMI FINLAND at the top. In the lower part, EMU 1999 – 2009 is engraved.
On the copper and nickel part of the coin, the twelve stars symbolizing the European Union are engraved.

On the Reverse, we find the Common Side, or value side, showing the nominal value.
The edge of the coin is finely milled and bears the inscription TALOUS – JA RAHALIITTO EMU followed by 3 lion heads.
