2 Euro Lithuania 2019 Lithuanian Folk Songs — Two Euro Commemorative Lithuania 2019 Lithuanian Folk Songs

This 2 Euro Commemorative coin from Lithuania was minted specifically in 2019 to honor the Sutartines, which are Lithuanian folk songs. Thus, like the previous one, it celebrates Baltic popular culture.

On the Obverse, perfectly centered, are engraved the faces of three women, and from their hair, concentric lines emerge. This symbolizes the union of hair. These lines represent the melodies of Lithuanian folk songs. At certain points, the lines widen and then narrow again, alternating with various geometric patterns and figures. At the top is the inscription “LIETUVA”, on the left “SUTARTINES”, while on the right is the symbol of the Vilnius Mint “LMK” (Lietuvos Monetų Kalykla) with the year of issue “2019”.

On the outermost edge, as usual, the 12 five-pointed stars representing European states are engraved.
