Lithuania €2 Cultura Baltica 2016 — Value and Rarity

The next 2 Euro Commemorative coin from Lithuania was minted in 2016 in honor of Baltic culture. It is one of the most characteristic and unique coins in the entire collection due to the originality of its National Side.

On the Obverse, we can indeed observe engraved a disc made of baltic amber, one of the most significant symbols of Baltic culture. Amber is a symbol of protection and fertility. The disc is also decorated with an oblique cross of perforated dots which symbolizes the terrestrial axis.

At the top, prominently, is engraved the inscription “LIETUVA”. To the right of the inscription is the Mint symbol “LMK” (Lietuvos Monetų Kalykla), while to the left is the year of issue “2016”. All around the coin are the usual 12 five-pointed stars representing the European states.
