The Obverse of these 2 euros from Portugal features the European Flag from which a spiral of 12 stylized little figures in a star formation emerges towards us. On the right side, along the edge, is the inscription PORTUGAL 1985-2015.
The signature of the designer Georgios Stamatopoulos is located under the arm of the prominent figure, while the mint mark INCM is above its head.

Surrounding it are the 12 stars of the European Union, evenly distributed in a circle.

The Reverse consists of the Common Side of the 2 euro coins.

The edge features seven castles and five coats of arms.
