2 Euro Commemorative Portugal 2019 Madeira and Porto Santo — Portugal €2 commemorative 2019 Madeira and Porto Santo — coin obverse

The 2019 coin also commemorates the 600th Anniversary of the Discovery of Madeira Island. It was issued on 06/08/2019.

The Obverse features a nautical chart with the islands of Madeira and Porto Santo. The mint mark INCM is located at the top right, while the artist's signature Júlio Pomar is on the right.

Surrounding the design is the inscription in a circle:
600 anos do Descobrimento da Madeira e do Porto Santo.
At the bottom of the coin, completing the circle, is engraved: Portugal 2019.

The nickel crown of the coin features the twelve stars of the European Union.

The Common Side of the commemorative coin is on the Reverse and displays the nominal value of 2 Euro.

As for the edge, it consists of seven castles and five coats of arms.
