Description of the 2 Euro Proclamation of the Republic of Malta 2015
Let’s move on to a coin of undeniable historical importance. Specifically, this coin was minted in 2015 to commemorate the proclamation of the Republic of Malta which took place on December 13, 1974.
On the Obverse, the coin features the depiction of a marble plaque affixed to the façade of the Presidential Palace in Valletta in honor of the Republic. At the top right, the circular inscription “Malta – Republic 1974” is engraved, while at the bottom, the year of minting is present.
Only in the FDC Division is the mint mark present, and all coins feature the 12 five-pointed stars representing the European states.
As for the Reverse, it is practically identical to the other 2 Euro coins found in Europe.
