The Malta 2024 €2 commemorative honours the Maltese honey bee (Apis mellifera ruttneri), an endemic subspecies. Issued on 18 March 2024.

The obverse shows a bee in flight above an apple blossom; upper inscription MALTA, lower 2024 and mint mark F (Monnaie de Paris); 12 EU stars on the outer ring. Designed by Noel Galea Bason; struck for the Central Bank of Malta.
