Let’s move on to another Latvian coin from 2015, that of the European Flag. The coin is identical to that issued the same year by other European countries, differing only in the engraving of the Latvian state. It was minted to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Flag.

On the Obverse of this 2 euro Latvia coin, there is the Flag of Europe surrounded by 12 stylized figures of men and stars with the signature of the author Georgios Stamatopoulos in the bottom right.
At the top, the state inscription LATVIJA and to the right the dates 1985-2015.
All around, the 12 five-pointed stars representing European States are repeated.
