2 Euro Commemorative Latvia 2015 - Black Stork — 2 Euro Commemorative Latvia 2015 – Black Stork

The third and final coin of 2015 is special, as it is dedicated to a protected animal, the Black Stork, which has also become a symbol, for all of Europe, of the preservation of endangered nature. Issued on 1/12/2015.

On the Obverse, there is indeed depicted, in a design by Olga Šilova, a very rare Black Stork walking with a twig in its beak. Below, in two lines, the inscription in printed LATVIJA 2015.

The symbol with the 12 European stars is engraved all around the nickel and copper part of the bimetallic coin.
