Italy €2 2000 Years since the death of Titus Livius 2017 — Value and Rarity

Another coin honoring a historical figure from the Roman era. In particular, this coin was minted to commemorate the 2000th anniversary of the death of the Roman historian Titus Livius. We are talking about the 2 Euro Commemorative Italy 2017.

On the Obverse, there is indeed a depiction of the bust of Titus Livius taken from the work of artist Lorenzo Larese Moretti. To the left of the design is the monogram of the Italian Republic, while just below are the initials of the author. To the right, we find the dates “17” and “2017” with the mintmark R below. Below the bust is the inscription in an arc “TITO LIVIO”. All around are the classic 12 five-pointed stars representing the European states.
