The 2 Euro Vatican coin 2021 Dante Alighieri was issued to commemorate the 700th Anniversary of his death. Issued on 26/10/2021

On the Obverse, there is the effigy of Dante Alighieri facing right, with Palazzo Vecchio of Florence depicted to his right, below which is the signature of Dante and above the R of the Rome mint. At the top right, the inscription CITTA' DEL VATICANO appears, with the dates 1321-2021 below. The signatures of the designer P. DANIELE and the Engraver A. M. INC are located under the portrait of Dante. In the outer crown of the coin, there are the 12 stars symbolizing Europe.
