The 2 Euro Commemorative France 2022 Jacques Chirac are minted to commemorate both the 90th anniversary of Jacques Chirac's birth and the 20th anniversary of the Euro's introduction. On the Obverse side, there is the profile of Jacques Chirac, a French politician and official, facing right with the symbol of the €; to the right is the monogram of the French Republic RF and the minting year 2022. At the bottom of the coin, the inscription JACQUES CHIRAC is engraved, followed by his birth and death dates 1932 and 2019.

Also engraved are the symbols of the Cornucopia, the symbol of the Paris Mint, and the stylized square with the head of a rhinoceros and JJ, the symbol of Joaquin Jimenez, the designer. Around the edge, in the nickel part of the coin, are the five-pointed stars of Europe.
