Description of the 2 Euro Erasmus Program 2022

On the right, the Obverse of the commemorative coin features the portrait of Desiderius Erasmus who is writing his essay “The Praise of Folly“. The portrait is depicted above a bundle of chains in the background of the coin, the interweaving forms the number 35. At the bottom right, the inscriptions 1987-2022 and ERASMUS PROGRAMME are engraved.

In the center, the sign RF, the monogram of France. Below, the cornucopia, symbol of the French mint, and the square with the stylized rhinoceros head with the initials JJ (symbol of the author Joaquin Jimenez). On the outer edge, 12 five-pointed stars representing the European Union.
