2 Euro Commemorative Belgium 2021 Karlsgulden minted under Charles V, commemorate the 500th anniversary of the ordinance of the second period of coin issuance during the reign of Charles V. Coin issued on 27/10/2021

The Obverse features the portrait of Charles V in Renaissance attire, beneath the inscription CAROLUS V. On the upper left, the Carolus d'or is depicted, which was the coin issued under the ordinance 500 years ago; below it is the monogram of Belgium BE and the date of issuance of the commemorative 2021.

At the bottom of the coin, the symbols of the Dutch Mint, the caduceus, and the coat of arms of the municipality of Herzele are present, which also represents the symbol of Ingrid van Herzele, director of the Belgian Mint. Almost centrally, and on the lower edge of the coin, are engraved the initials of the designer Luc Luycx LL
