The 2 euro commemorative coin Andorra 2021 100th anniversary of the coronation of Our Lady of Meritxell was issued to celebrate the centenary of the coronation of the Madonna of Meritxell as the patroness of the Principality of Andorra. Issued on 15/12/2021

The Madonna of Meritxell is a very important figure for the Andorran population. The Sanctuary of Meritxell, located in the Valira d'Orient, is one of the most popular pilgrimage sites in the country.

The obverse of the coin features an image of the Madonna of Meritxell, patroness of the Principality of Andorra. The Madonna is depicted with a cloak, a veil, and a child in her arms. To her left is the symbol of a flower. In the background, there is a representation of the Sanctuary of Meritxell, the most important place of worship in the country. To the left is the date 192, at the center below ANDORRA, and to the right the date 2021.

Around the edge, the twelve stars of the European Union are arranged in a circle.

The reverse of the coin displays the nominal value 2 EURO, the Common Side of the coin.
