On the Obverse, the upper part of a pillar with the initials EU, which stands for Europe, is visible, from which a sprout spreads and extends into new forms, a clear symbol of expansion with solid foundations. On the right, the letters MM indicate the author Makinen and the director of the Mint Makkonen.
The year of minting is at the top of the coin on the circle made of nickel and copper that interrupts the sequence of twelve stars arranged in a circle like in the symbol of Europe.

The Reverse is represented by the Common Side, which features the value side and the map of Europe with the borders engraved between states.

Edge: Along the entire lateral edge, finely milled, the inscription reads: SUOMI FINLAND with 3 lion heads.

Let's start with a truly interesting coin. Specifically, this is the 2 Euro Italy 2004 that commemorates the 5th decade of the World Food Programme.

On the Obverse, the 2 Euro Italy 2004 coin features the globe accompanied by three ears of grain representing wheat, corn, and rice, which symbolize the foundations of nutrition. To the right, the symbol of the Italian Republic is engraved, with the initials of the engraver just below.

The very first coin: 2 commemorative Euro San Marino 2004, a coin minted in honor of Bartolomeo Borghesi Numismatist and Epigrapher.

On the Obverse, we can immediately notice the representation of the face of Bartolomeo Borghesi with the inscription SAN MARINO on the right. On the left, there is the mint mark R and the inscription BARTOLOMEO BORGHESI. At the bottom left, there are also the initials of the author, ELF (Ettore Lorenzo Frapiccini).

All around, we can see the 12 five-pointed stars representing the European states, while at the bottom, in the outer circle along with the stars, is the year of minting.

Marino Bartolomeo Borghesi, a bronze bust created by Giuseppe Romagnoli and inaugurated in San Marino on the terrace of Cantone on November 16, 1904. Dedicated to the Archaeologist known as the Prince of Numismatists who arrived in the Republic of San Marino in 1821 and remained until his death in 1860.

The first coin in this collection commemorates the 75th anniversary of the foundation of the Vatican City State.

On the Obverse, the coin features a depiction of the perimeter of the City with St. Peter's Square and the corresponding Basilica at its center. To the left, there is a circular inscription “75° ANNO DELLO STATO” while at the top right are the dates “1929 – 2004”.
