La prima Commemorativa da 2 euro finlandese è stata coniata nel 2004 e dedicata all'espansione dell'Europa.
Coniata il 1/06/2004 a Helsinki-Vantaa in Finlandia (M).

Moneta controversa per il suo alto valore, quasi ingiustificato a detta di molti Numismatici che non si spiegano il motivo di tanto interesse verso una commemorativa che non ha grosse particolarità. Ma vediamo la descrizione e il perchè di tanto interesse.

Al Dritto si vede la parte superiore di un pilastro con la sigla EU, che sta per Europa, e dal quale parte un germoglio che si dirada e si estende a nuove forme, chiaro simbolo di espansione con solide basi. Sulla destra le lettere MM indicano l'autore Makinen e il direttore di Zecca Makkonen.
Il millesimo di conio è nella parte superiore della moneta sul cerchio realizzato in nichel e rame che interrompe la sequenza di dodici stelle disposte a cerchio come nel simbolo dell'Europa.

Il Verso è rappresentato dalla Faccia Comune, quella col lato valore e la mappa dell'Europa con i confini incisi tra stati.

Contorno: Lungo tutto il bordo laterale, finemente zigrinato, l'incisione con la scritta: SUOMI FINLAND con 3 teste di Leone.

Let's start with a truly interesting coin. Specifically, this is the 2 Euro Italy 2004 that commemorates the 5th decade of the World Food Programme.

On the Obverse, the 2 Euro Italy 2004 coin features the globe accompanied by three ears of grain representing wheat, corn, and rice, which symbolize the foundations of nutrition. To the right, the symbol of the Italian Republic is engraved, with the initials of the engraver just below.

At the bottom, the year of minting is present alongside the mint mark R. Surrounding it are the 12 five-pointed stars representing the member states of the European Union. The Reverse of the coin is the same as all other 2 Euro coins.

La primissima moneta: 2 Euro commemorativi San Marino 2004, moneta coniata in onore di Bartolomeo Borghesi Numismatico ed Epigrafista.

Al Dritto infatti possiamo immediatamente notare la rappresentazione del viso di Bartolomeo Borghesi con a destra la scritta SAN MARINO. A sinistra vi sono invece il simbolo di zecca R e la scritta BARTOLOMEO BORGHESI. In basso a sinistra in più ci sono le iniziali dell’autore ovvero ELF (Ettore Lorenzo Frapiccini).

Tutto intorno possiamo notare le 12 stelle a cinque punte che rappresentano gli Stati europei mentre in basso, nel cerchio più esterno insieme alle stelle, è presente il millesimo di conio.

Marino Bartolomeo Borghesi, Busto in bronzo realizzato da Giuseppe Romagnoli e inaugurato a San Marino nella terrazza del Cantone il 16 Novembre del 1904. Dedicato appunto all'Archeologo detto Principe dei Numismatici che giunse nella repubblica di San marino nel 1821 e ci rimase fino alla morte avvenuta nel 1860.

The first coin in this collection commemorates the 75th anniversary of the foundation of the Vatican City State.

On the Obverse, the coin features a depiction of the perimeter of the City with St. Peter's Square and the corresponding Basilica at its center. To the left, there is a circular inscription “75° ANNO DELLO STATO” while at the top right are the dates “1929 – 2004”.

On the right, the mintmark R and the names of the sculptor “VEROI” and the designer “L.D.S. Inc.” are present.

Surrounding the design are 12 five-pointed stars representing the European states, while on the Reverse, the coin has the same face as all other 2 Euro coins.
