The 1977 10 Lira is part of the 10 Lira Spiga series, the second 10 lira coin minted during the Italian Republic, from 1951 to 2000, with a total mintage of 1,975,410,000.

On the Obverse, there is an image of a plow with the inscription REPVBBLICA ITALIANA above, below the year of minting and the mint mark R. On the Reverse, there are two ears of wheat and the value 10 in the upper right corner. Along the bottom edge, the name of the designer G. Romagnoli is inscribed. The Edge is smooth with no inscriptions.
