The 10 Lire 1956 is part of the 10 Lire Spiga series, the second 10 lire coin minted during the Italian Republic, from 1951 until 2000, with a total mintage of 1,975,410,000.
On the Obverse, there is an engraving of a plow with the inscription REPVBBLICA ITALIANA above, below the year of minting and the mint mark R. On the Reverse, there is a design of two ears of wheat with the value 10 in the upper right corner. Along the bottom edge, the name of the designer G. Romagnoli is inscribed. The Edge is smooth with no inscriptions.
